KIRK BULLINGTONChristian Life Coach Kirk is excited about the possibility of entering into a coaching relationship with you. Kirk's parents were missionaries. He moved with them to West Africa when he was 6 years old. He grew up speaking French though much of it has been blurred by the Spanish he learned as an adult while serving as a missionary in Latin America. After graduating from High School, he returned to the States to attend college at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He attended seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He holds degrees in music from both schools. He and his lovely wife Karen have been married since 1987. They have three wonderful children, two girls and a boy. They never cease to be amazed at how different three kids from the same family can be--sports, music, book-worms, etc. Their kids represent their own unique blends of personality, interests and talents. They are so proud of each one! After college, Kirk served churches in Arkansas, Texas and New Mexico as a Youth, Music, and Education minister. Once on the mission field in the Dominican Republic, he had the privilege of starting churches, youth camps, and institutes of Christian music. He also coordinated the strategic direction of the mission. For three years he served as the music evangelism strategist for Latin America and as a music editor at the Baptist Spanish Publishing House in El Paso, Texas. Kirk has published and recorded numerous music compositions and arrangements in both English and Spanish. Today, he teaches Bible, Music, and Spanish at a Christian high school in Roswell, Georgia. He jokes that the decision to be a teacher was driven by the fact that it was the only ministry position he had never held before. As fun as Kirk's life has been, he has experienced his fair share of bumps and bruises. In 2003, he and his family left the mission field to deal with some painful issues. Life came to an abrupt halt. Years of healing and restoration followed. Thankfully, what began in heartache and tragedy, God used to bless them beyond their wildest dreams. Today, Kirk serves as one of the lay counselors in the pastoral counseling center of his church and as a leader in the men's ministries. He is passionate about ministering to others who are hurting and in need of help. He has discovered that coaching is a wonderful way to help missionaries successfully stay on the field. He earned his certification through the Center for the Advancement of Christian Coaching. © 2009-2010 Advance Global Coaching. All rights reserved. |
